Description

Historic England wishes to commission a creative photographic response to England's high streets as part of the High Street HAZ Cultural Programme 2020-24. Photographers will work in a number of High Street HAZs to co-create a series that will build a contemporary portrait of England's high streets and the communities who use them. This flagship commission will respond to the HAZ Programme as it evolves and a set of photographs produced for the commission will enter into the Historic England Archive, the nation's archive for records of England's historic buildings, archaeology and social history. The commissioned photographs will complement the images made by Historic England's in-house photography team who will record the architecture and status of all of the High Street HAZs throughout the project.
