Description
There are approximately 8008 items of equipment to be tested in total across all sites. The accompanying 'Appendix 1' has a breakdown of the areas, whether a full or part test is required and the quantity of assets in each location.
It is the responsibility of the contractor to search all areas for electrical equipment which are the reasonability of either NCIC or CNTW. Items may be in cupboards. The Contractor will be called back to site as many times as is necessary to test any missed items at their expense.
• For sites marked as 'part' - only areas occupied by one of the two Trusts indicated must be tested:
o NCIC = North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust
o CNTW = Cumbria Northumberland Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust
• Additional sites may be added during the contract term
The equipment falls into two categories, Low Risk and Medium Risk. Please refer to 'Appendix 2' which accompanies this specification and shows frequencies and details testing for class 1 & 2 equipment.
