Description

The Authority is working with the NHS Hull University Teaching Hospital Trust to realise major investment (£200m) in acute care provision as part of a wider renewal agenda for land/premises on the western fringes of Hull City Centre. A bespoke masterplan is needed to steer this with (a maximum) budget of £120,000 set aside for this work and attendant strategic transport assessment.
An experienced consultant with health master planning experience is sought but additionally the Masterplan also requires a multi-agency approach involving consideration of and expertise in transport impact and sustainability/BREEAM assessments.
The Authority has secured funding to support the NHS Hull University Teaching Hospital Trust ambitions to fundamentally adapt the current health estate (located off Anlaby Road, Hull, a main thoroughfare west of Hull city centre) using its land assets but the Masterplan should not be constrained by this. Connections to the public transport interchange (Hull Interchange, Hull Station, Hull city centre) will also feature in the Masterplan along with advice about realising modal shift of hospital staff and visitors.
The appointed consultancy will develop a Masterplan that will support and underpin significant NHS investment in Hull at the current Hull Royal Infirmary site. The intention is to realise Government ambitions to improving health care services in the City and sub-region in combination with other uses such as housing over the next 15 years with an anticipated £200m capital investment in Hull's health estate in addition to investment generated through the scope of the Masterplan.
Full details of the requirements, and the full Specification etc. are detailed within the published Invitation To Tender documentation.
The ITT details are published on the Council's electronic tender portal, YORtender, accessible via weblink https://www.yortender.co.uk
Bidders will need to register on the portal if they have not previously done so; registration is free and takes only minutes to complete. The specific tender Reference No. for this procurement opportunity is DN553557.
