Description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU), on behalf of NHS England Central Midlands and Bedfordshire CCG (under joint commissioning arrangements) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to tender for delivery of Primary Medical Services at Cauldwell Medical Centre, Bedford Hospital, Kempston Road, Bedford.

Services are currently delivered from both Cauldwell Medical Centre and Victoria Road Medical Practice, also in Bedford. The lists are to be combined into one contract, to be delivered from the Cauldwell Medical Centre location. The Services are to be provided to both registered patients and unregistered patients, who will be streamed to the Practice from Bedford Hospital Emergency Department.

List size will be approximately 7,800 actual, 6,600 weighted. The Contract value will be circa £508,000 p.a. This figure excludes
Enhanced Services and QOF payments. The Provider must also make available at least 20 Urgent Care appointments per day for unregistered patients and these will be paid at £33 per attendance. In addition, an APMS premium will be paid, of 20% of Global Sum in year 1, 15% in year 2 and 10% in years 3 to 5.

The contract will commence on 1st July 2017 and will be for a period of 3 years with the option to extend up to a further 2 years (5 years maximum). Further information is available at

- You can now access any attachments by clicking 'Buyer Attachments' in the 'PQQ/ ITT Details' box
3. Responding to the tender
- Click 'My Response' under 'PQQ/ ITT Details'; you can choose to 'Create Response' or to 'Decline to Respond' (please give a reason if declining)
- You can now use the 'Messages' function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification
- Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the PQQ/ ITT
- There may be a mixture of online and off-line actions for you to perform (there is detailed on-line help available)
- You must then submit your reply using the 'Submit Response' button at the top of the page.
