Description
The objective of this desk research and data analysis is to provide insight that will inform digitally focused programming for the British Council's Cultural Protection Fund (CPF) in 2024.
Building on seven successful years and £50m of investment in cultural preservation and taking into account the critical challenge of developing new means to safeguard heritage in a digital era, in 2024 the British Council's CPF will be piloting a digital preservation initiative. The pilot initiative will support partners and projects in the Middle East, North and East Africa exploring novel applications of technology to preserve cultural heritage. This research will lay the foundations for the pilot.
