Description
WP9.1 - HS2 Platform Service Booms
Scope of Work:
Design, fabrication and installation of 2.7km of platform Aluminium PPC service booms across and supporting steelwork across the 6no HS2 Platforms. Elliptical in shape, approx. dimension 1500mm wide, 1000mm high.
The Platform service booms consists of suspended metal clads for recessed luminaries with a large integrated service route housing, supported by steel beam and secondary framing with hinged access panel for maintenance.
It is currently intended for the service box elements including all containment to be provided by the Project wide MEPH supplier working in collaboration with this Package to provide an integrated solution.
Supplier is required to develop the Contractors RIBA 4 design to RIBA 5 design for fabrication/construction.
BBVS envisage the service booms being delivered as a modular system prefabricated off site. The Works Package will include all means for fabrication design development, mock-ups fabrication, site delivery and installation, in coordination with other Works Packages.
Respondents to this opportunity should be advised that prior to shortlisting, the Buyer will undertake a rigorous 'due diligence process.
Unsuccessful applicants will be advised via e-mail supplied, successful shortlisted applicants will be invited to tender through an external ERP system.
The shortlisted suppliers will be invited to register for the ERP system in due course.
What is clear at this stage is that tenders will be scored competitively across a range of criteria, such as, but not limited to: HSEQ, Commercial, Programme, Methodology (particularly with working in a track environment).
In 2018, Balfour Beatty, VINCI and Systra (BBVS) created a strategic alliance to deliver major infrastructure projects for HS2, in particular the Interchange at Old Oak Common.
