Description

We are looking for 1 Solicitor to work within the Children's area of legal.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years PQE (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience specialising in and handling Public law child care mailers preferably from a local authority prospective.

Candidates must be confident and experienced in order to be able to hit the ground running and have the ability to carry a varied case load covering all aspects of Public Law childcare matters. You must be a confident advocate as there will be an expectation for you to cover various types of hearings to include those of a contested nature. The candidate will need to be proactive, work well under pressure, self-reliant as well as work as part of a wider team.

The successful candidate would gain great exposure to a varied caseload and would enjoy a high level of responsibility with a great deal of client contact.

The rate of pay will be Band H £21.13 per hour PAYE. The role is 37 hours and based at Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE. This is a temporary position to start as soon as possible.

Candidates need to be readily available for an interview and if successful start immediately.
