Description

We would like to explore how we can better support the environment-related sustainable development goals (SDGs) through our programmes and frameworks, and set out a way forward that will help us make a positive difference.

Please note, this project isn't about how we can go carbon neutral in our operations and be greener in the way that we work - plans are underway for this. This project is instead about how our programmes can help people around the world to explore issues and ideas in relation to the environment and develop solutions together.

At present, some of the British Council's programmes address the environment - for example, we have worked with artists to explore and respond to climate change; we enable UK and international universities and colleges to collaborate on green solutions; we support green social enterprises - and much more. However, we haven't yet developed a unifying green strategy for this work.
