Description

A ward-based fibroscan machine is used for the early identification of sclerosis, which is used in the identification and treatment of substance misuse patients, in particular those with alcohol dependency. The machine is to be commissioned using the Supplemental Substance Misuse Treatment & Recovery Grant (the Supplemental Grant) funding for the use of Sheffield Teaching Hospital (STH) and the Alcohol Care Team.
