Description

The Tobacco Free Schools (TFS) programme has been available to schools in Leicestershire and Rutland since 2011. Leicestershire County Council Public Health department is now looking to re-tender this Service. The service is aimed at school aged children and young people with a focus on year 6 (primary) and year 8 (secondary). Based on NICE guidance, TFS aims to provide a whole school approach to tobacco control (prevention, policy, cessation and advocacy) in order to reduce the number of young people starting to smoke and increase the number of those quitting.
