Description
This service will provide support to the 14 upper tier local authorities (LAs) of the West Midlands (WM). This service will provide an OISC level 3 advice service to advise the regions LA's and UASCs on their immigration and asylum matters. It will primarily act as a screening service and where necessary provide casework, when a specific criterion is met.
Advice will be delivered after screening cases for young people, where possible signposting or referring to other legal professionals who can continue working on the case. Where it is required and meets the threshold, this service will also function as a case work service e.g., for those young people who are appeals rights exhausted and cannot access any other legal advisor. This will be closely monitored and discussed with manager to ensure that cases are managed across the region in line with project scope.
