Description
Maintenance dredge and disposal of area outside of Royal Quays Marina from lock to river channel.
Maximum volume of material to be dredged and disposed is 20,000m3.
Plant expected to be Self-propelled split hopper barges will be loaded by spud leg backhoe dredger.
Pre and post-dredge hydrographic surveys.
The preferred method of dredging is by backhoe, but other methods may be considered subject to MMO consent. The use of water injection (WID) is not acceptable.
The MMO licence refers to sea disposal. Disposal of dredged material to land may be offered if all necessary licences are included in the price, the contractor can offer an existing disposal site and the total cost is provided in the applicable section of the Activity Schedule i.e. Dredge and dispose.
The Authority will only accept bids where the proposed method of dredging and disposal comes within the Authority's stated requirements. If you are in any doubt concerning whether your tender submission will comply please use the NEPO portal system message facility to request any clarifications. The Authority will respond via the portal and any response will be communicated to all prospective bidders.
