Description
The Council are seeking Service Providers to join the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) providing a diverse range of Adults, Children, Children Looked After and Young People's Transportation including: cars, MPV's, minibuses, small and large accessible vehicles capable of transporting wheelchair users, larger buses and coaches of all sizes.
The Council transports up to 900 Service Users every day, arranged over several hundred individual Route Schedules through contracted Service Providers. This means that during the lifetime of this DPS there will be considerable opportunity for existing and future Service Providers to engage with and, do business with the Council.
The Council has a statutory duty to meet the Transport needs of Adults, Children, Children Looked After and Young People in the borough based on an assessment of need and where the eligibility criteria are met. The Council manages these Services through the use of contracted Service Providers of transport Services with vehicles of all sizes.
The purpose of this procurement is for the Council to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (known as the DPS) for Transportation Services for Adults, Children, Children, Looked After and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
