Description

A contract to survey all of the communal trees across our operational areas; Primarily South Oxfordshire, including the towns of Didcot, Wallingford, Thame and Henley-on-Thames together with surrounding villages and hamlets. The Association also owns and manages properties in other areas of Oxfordshire, as well as Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire.

The identification and location of all trees on communal land owned and managed by Soha Housing on to maps which are to be provided to Soha on completion of the Contract.

Identification of individual tree species.

Tagging of any un-tagged trees and re-tagging of any previously tagged trees on communal land as required.

An estimation of the age of each tree.

An estimation of the life span of each tree.

Recommendations for maximising the tree life expectancy and retention, based upon current condition only.

Provision of a hazard analysis for each tree, based upon a risk assessment of each tree's physiological condition, situation and potential for failure or interference with buildings, highways or footpaths (and associated pedestrian and vehicular traffic).

Prioritisation of any tree maintenance work found to be required based on the following target timescales: Emergency, High (Year 1), Medium (Year 2) Low (Year 3 & 4) .

Immediate notification to Soha of any emergency tree maintenance work found to be required

Provision of a written report to Soha confirming all tree locations, tag numbers, estimated age, life span, condition (Good, Average, Poor), hazard analysis, species, work priorities and recommended work, recommended re-inspection frequency etc. detailed above in Excel format.
