Nottingham City Homes are embarking on a significant project to improve the safety of our customers that live in blocks of multiple occupants. The main element to enhance the safety of customers in their homes is the installation of sprinkler systems and associated materials to communal and individual homes bringing our buildings in line with the BS9251:2014 regulation. The Construction, Repairs and Maintenance section of the NCH business is to deliver fire sprinkler systems and associated material to over 1000 properties across several high-rise blocks in Nottingham. The Contract is being procured by Nottingham City Homes for a period of 2 years with an optional extension period up to 2 years, and it is envisaged that it will commence in September 2019. We estimate that the potential total value during the Contract Period to be in the region of £850,000 although NCH makes no guarantees regarding value of expenditure. The contract will be divided in 5 lots : Lot 1 - Supply of Sprinkler Material Lot 2 - Suppky of Pipe Boxing Lot 3 - Supply Labour for Sprinkler Installation Lot 4 - Supply of Diamond Drilling Services Lot 5 - Supply of Miscelllaneous Construction Material and Consumables Pricing must remain firm and fixed for the duration of the contract and must not be subject to any variation. Contractors must understand that predicting volumes and overall values for work is difficult and no guarantee is given regarding continuity or overall value and supplier will, therefore, not be entitled to claim for loss of profit, or any other costs resulting from an alteration in the scope or volume.
