Description

The Council wishes to establish a single provider contract for the provision of community services for people with functional mental health needs and/or Autism. The Council is managing this procurement in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations.

The services are considered to be Light Touch Services and this process will apply the flexibilities afforded under the Public Contracts Regulations. The process is a one stage process, like the Open procedure.

The aim of the service is to improve the physical and mental health, emotional and social wellbeing, and quality of life for people who suffer with functional mental health needs and/or autism. It will support them to live independently in their own homes, engage with employment/education/training opportunities, and to engage with the local community.

The overall objectives of the service will be:

• for individuals with functional mental health needs and/or autism to be better able to manage their lives, be more resilient, and more engaged with their communities.
• to support individuals to retain or engage with employment / education / training
• to increase the proportion of people with functional and common mental health disorders who make a significant improvement or achieve recovery
• for autistic people to receive mental health support that is appropriate for their needs as an autistic person.
