Description

We are seeking a Principal Contractor to deliver this scheme which comprises 255 properties which consist of 4 block flats, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom semi-detached houses and 1 and 2 bedroom bungalows. These properties are one and two storey cavity wall construction with traditional pitched roofs, UPVC double glazed windows; timber, UPVC and composite external doors. It is a requirement that a minimum of 50% of the supply chain used by the Principal Contractor on this contract is sourced from within the contract area of Staffordshire. Evidence of this will be monitored throughout the life of the contract. The refurbishment to the properties will consist of scaffolding, asbestos removal, re-pointing, re-roofing, loft insulation, renewal of rainwater goods and building plastics, replacement external doors and canopies, flat roof renewals, screen-wall repairs, renewal of external lighting, replacement kitchens and bathrooms including extractor fans, installation of hardwired smoke alarms, painting and decoration. The outbuildings to properties will benefit from roof repairs and new roof coverings, repointing, fascia board and rainwater goods and painting or renewal of store doors where identified. Privacy screen walls will be reduced in height where required, repaired and repointed as necessary.
