Description

Croydon Council is seeking to engage a contractor for the provision of Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment.

In accordance with the terms of this document you are invited to submit a quote for provision of work to the London Borough of Croydon, who is acting as lead client on behalf of Croydon's Health and Wellbeing Board.

An suitably qualified and experienced external provider is required during period 2 May 2017- 01 April 2018 to undertake the development of the new fit for purpose PNA which meets the latest Department of Health guidance and the NHS (Pharmaceutical Services and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013.

This project brief will form part of the contract to undertake the project. Providers will be required to respond to and cost the approach set out within this brief, but also to put forward suggestions including costing for any alternative approaches where this would enhance the value of the project. Subject to the suppliers' submissions, the Council reserves the right to vary this brief.

From 01 April 2013 every Health and Wellbeing Board (HWB) has been given a statutory responsibility to publish and keep up to date a statement of the needs for pharmaceutical services of the population in its area, referred to as a pharmaceutical needs assessment (PNA).

The NHS (Pharmaceutical and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013 (the 2013 Regulations) require each Health and Wellbeing Board to make a revised assessment as soon as is reasonably practicable after identifying changes to the need for pharmaceutical services which are of a significant extent.

Croydon, in line with national regulations, published its last PNA by 01 April 2015. Every area is required to publish a refreshed PNA document within 3 years, i.e. by 01 April 2018.

We are seeking bids from providers with the necessary capabilities, knowledge and experience in producing needs assessments to deliver a fit-for-purpose PNA document by 01 April 2018
