Description
Medway Council requires a suitably experienced and qualified Contractor to provide supplementary enforcement services to tackle environmental issues such as littering, dog fouling and the enforcement of Dog Control Orders (now PSPOs) with respect to dogs on leads.
The aim of the service will be to reduce litter and dog fouling within the borough by demonstrating that irresponsible behaviour will be tackled by way of enforcement action, mainly by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN's) to offenders. Robust enforcement combined with effective promotional campaigns will 'nudge' people into doing the right thing, and create a place to be proud of.
The successful Contractor will provide sufficient officers to undertake high profile foot patrols enforcing against environmental offences. Officers will also be expected to take part in media and promotional campaigns.
The service will be at nil cost to Medway who will also be the recipient of a percentage of the ticket value. The tender documentation can be obtained from the Kent Business Portal.
