Description
The Council's Civil Enforcement Officers deploy with radios when patrolling the borough. These radios allow two way communication between the control room and officers on street to ensure health and safety requirements are met with regards to officer safety. The current radios used by the service have been in operation for an estimated 15 years. The deployment software is no longer fit for purpose and the radios are malfunctioning due to their age. They transmit communication throughout the borough through transmitters located on two Council buildings in the borough. The incumbent supplier was inherited by the Council as part of the insourcing of the enforcement service.
