The Tenderer should be aware that the works detailed in this package are constrained due to the nature of the location they are to be conducted in.

The Contractor shall be expected to adhere by the HMNB site security requirements, all Contractors and Sub-Contractors shall be BPSS security vetted and will be required to hold the relevant site security passes.
The Contractor shall be expected to hold the following levels of insurance £10m Public Liability, £10m Product Liability, £5m Professional Indemnity.

Project Background
KBS Maritime have a requirement for a programme of 8 penstock replacements at D Lock (project number: SYS0151-01) over the next year. The penstocks will vary in duty, with pressures ranging from 6mWC to 22mWC, both on and off head. Penstocks shall be manufactured to BS7775, feature non-rising spindles and electric actuation. The successful tenderer shall be able to demonstrate experience in removing existing penstocks, designing, installing and commissioning new penstocks suitable for use in seawater.
KBS Maritime also have a requirement for a programme of 11 penstock replacements at North Pumping Station (project number: SYS0152-01) over the next year. The penstocks will vary in duty, with pressures ranging from 6mWC to 22mWC, both on and off head. Penstocks shall be manufactured to BS7775, feature non-rising spindles and electric actuation. The successful tenderer shall be able to demonstrate experience in removing existing penstocks, designing, installing and commissioning new penstocks suitable for use in seawater.
KBS will then have a rolling programme of 40+ penstocks to be replaced from FY24/25 to beyond 2030. The penstocks will vary in duty, with pressures ranging from 6mWC to 22mWC, both on and off head. Penstocks shall be manufactured to BS7775, feature non-rising spindles and electric actuation. The successful tenderer shall be able to demonstrate experience in removing existing penstocks, designing, installing and commissioning new penstocks suitable for use in seawater.
