Description

WYCC values the relationship and support for collaborative working, and wants to invite applications from organisations that are committed to working in partnership to deliver quality training which meets the Leeds City Region skills agenda.

WYCC is seeking skilled training provider train individuals in advanced digital skills needed for digital economy[1]. This includes skills needed for jobs in the digital sectors (Information, Communication and Technology (ICT)) [2] as well as those needed to work in digital occupations in non-digital sectors.

This commission has been developed by collaborating with employers, industry and education. It has also been influenced by, and responds to, national, regional and local skills challenges, strategies and intelligence.

This commission is for services to develop and deliver Conversion Skills (training) that aims to increase digital skills by:

o Increasing the skills levels (through training) of employed individuals from the existing level to the next level up, to encourage progression in employment;

o Increasing the number of people in digital occupations, particularly at level 2 and above, with a focus is on raising the bar on higher level skills;

o Train individuals in their pursuit of careers in digital job roles; and

o Develop individuals who, upon completion, are ready to progress in digital job roles.
