Description

Central Bedfordshire Council will be looking to inviting tenders (in electronic format only) to deliver and manage the maintenance of its In House Fleet.

This contract will run from 1st October 2016 until 31st October 2017 with the potential to extend in to a further 5 months ending 31st March 2018.

It is the Council intention within the next 5 years to move Fleet operations to specialist Depots in the North and South of the County with maintenance facilities on site.

Tender documentation will be available on In-Tend from 18th March 2016.

The tender will be split into 2 lots covering different geographical areas:
Lot 1 - North (Area covered: Biggleswade, Ampthill, Sandy, Bedford)
Lot 2 - South (Area covered: Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Leighton Buzzard)

Suppliers can tender for one or both Lots. Each Lot will be awarded separately.

The fleet includes:
Car derived vans
4 x 4
Standard minibuses (up to 16 seats)
Accessible minibuses (up to 16 seats) both coachbuild and conversion with tail lifts/ramps
Lawnmowers
Tractor (Qubota)

The contract will cover all CBC owned vehicles with a potential of an increase to cover any hire/lease vehicles acquired over the term of the contract.
