Research in the Nitric Oxide Signalling group has lead to the invention of novel candidate drug molecules. Under a BHF Translational Grant an award has been made to Almac Diagnostics Ltd to optimise these compounds for use in humans. A collaborative effort has designed a bespoke medicinal chemistry programme that consitiutes part of the workplan described in the BHF award.
