Description

Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the procurement of woodchip and biomass.

This contract will be for a period of 2 years commencing 23rd September 2019 until 22nd September 2021.

Birmingham Parks and Nurseries invite tenders for the procurement of woodchip from Bromford Green Waste Unit. Prospective operators must be registered with the relevant Enforcement Authority as a waste carrier, provide relevant waste transfer notes and be permitted a relevant enforcement authority for the storage, recycling, treatment, processing or disposal of the woodchip once collected.

It will be the service provider's responsibility to collect the woodchip from Birmingham City Council and to provide adequate staff to complete the task to meet the Council time scales and deadlines, making allowances for periods of inclement weather that may prevent the application. Any application that results in inadequate woodchip collection must be rectified within 7 days' notice given by the Parks Operations Manager or representative.
