Description

The aim of the requirement is to conduct qualitative research to understand the lived experiences of domestic abuse survivors within the context of temporary 'safe' accommodation in England.

conduct in-depth interviews with domestic abuse survivors with current or previous (within the last 5 years) experience of temporary 'safe' accommodation. Interviews will seek to understand their experiences of access to temporary 'safe' accommodation, journeys navigating accommodation settings, needs and experiences of support linked to accommodation, transitions or 'moving on', and conceptions of safety or 'more-than-safety' (Bowstead, 2019) within the accommodation context.

The Supplier will also conduct experts by experience (EbE) advisory group focus group discussions with domestic abuse survivors with current or previous (within the last 5 years) experience of temporary 'safe' accommodation. This advisory group must be consulted at the beginning and the end of the contract period to inform the research design and dissemination strategies.
