Description
Valley Primary School and Nursery intend to let a framework contract to a single supplier for the delivery of a comprehensive school meals service. The Framework will be available for Valley Primary School, Kells Infant School, and St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Kells. Each school intends to call-off school catering services for an initial minimum period of 3 years.
The framework will be for the provision of a comprehensive school catering service including:
- Provision of lunchtime school meals to at least national quality standards.
- Provision of payment system; including debt management.
- Maintenance and cleaning of kitchens and equipment.
-Maintaining and building the current high demand for school meals enjoyed by the school.
- Harmonising school meals with curriculum activities.
- Using the opportunity of the contract to deliver additional community benefits.

Suitability to deliver a service:
A supplier's suitability to deliver the service will be demonstrated by:
- Accreditation to Food for Life Bronze or equivalent
- Example Menus
- ISO 9001:2015 Accreditation
- Health and safety Policy
- Commitment to staff training with IIP accreditation or similar
- Company Safeguarding Policy and processes
- Qualifications and experience of key personnel directly involved with contract delivery
Supplier economic and financial standing:
Criteria for assessing supplier economic and financial standing will include:
- Expected turnover : Minimum GBP 1,500,000.00 for each of past 3 years
- copy of last 3 years audited accounts
- Employers (Compulsory) Liability Insurance : GBP 5 million
- Public Liability Insurance : GBP 10 million
- Professional Indemnity Insurance - GBP 5 million
