Description
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is responsible for the response to, and recovery from, earthquakes in the UK.
Advice is provided by the British Geological Survey (BGS) which, through its Seismic Monitoring and Information Service, provides notifications of earthquakes. It also offers advice to help assess the future risk of earthquakes to inform the Government's risk assessment process.
The Department is proposing to award a new contract to British Geological Survey to continue to provide a seismic monitoring service for the next three years (2018/19 to 2020/21).
Suppliers are invited to provide feedback on, or objections to, the Department's proposed approach in writing to paul.farlow@communities.gsi.gov.uk no later than 5.00pm on Tuesday 6 March 2018.
