Description

Historic England is seeking to receive submissions for an interpretation project relating to the protected submarine U-8 for the non-diving public. It is envisaged that the project will create a virtual trail that is accessible by all. The Project will help develop our understanding of the site and in turn aid its future management.

The proposed scheme should bring the site to life for the non-diving public. It should be designed to be hosted on a responsive website that is designed for mobile use. The scheme should be hosted by the contractor in the first instance with the possibility for it to be hosted by Historic England in the longer term. It should be user friendly and include a variety of media to guide people around the site.

Designation details of the SM U-8 Protected Wreck Site may be found on the relevant List Entry here: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1430265
