Description

Domestic abuse is a shared area of activity for Safer Cornwall, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Safeguarding Adults Board and Our Safer Cornwall Partnership (OSCP) Children's Board. \r
\r
The tri-partnerships lead and contribute to a number of activities related to domestic abuse, including Safeguarding Adult/children Reviews and Domestic Homicide Reviews (SARs, SCRs and DHRs), commissioning and delivery of training and events, audit and quality assurance activity and action planning against national and local recommendations and best practice guidance.\r
\r
The strategic partnerships all have challenge and assurance functions and are seeking an independent review of the effectiveness of local pathways and responses to domestic abuse. \r
\r
We are specifically interested in approaches and methodologies that will give the partnership an overview of \r
- how the whole family is considered, included and safeguarded when domestic abuse concerns are identified\r
- how partners approaches (culture), pathways and multi-agency working effectively support or hinder safeguarding responses and outcomes for adults and children, \r
- the extent that local practice promotes the rights, views and wishes of those involved, and\r
- assurance and evidence of how partners have implemented recommendations and learning and how this has contributed to the prevention or management of risk \r
\r
The partnerships are looking for individuals or organisations with the relevant knowledge and expertise to shape and lead a piece of work with our partners and identify learning relevant to local practice.
