Description

Nottingham City Council (NCC) is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and knowledgeable provider of housing and housing debt advice services. The service is expected to work to assist people living in the City who are vulnerable to financial difficulty[1] to become more financially secure and to lessen the impact of financial problems on other aspects of their lives as well as: · helping citizens to be better informed of their rights, responsibilities and options and to resolve current housing / housing debt problems, avoid future difficulties and follow housing / debt management advice so as to prevent homelessness and sustain their accommodation · increasing awareness of financial difficulty, housing, and housing debt problems and how these can be avoided among people who are at risk of experiencing difficulty · provide free, independent and confidential housing and housing debt advice for the prevention of homelessness. The service will work to achieve this in the main through the provision of timely, targeted and effective information, advice and assistance concerning housing and housing related debt.
