Description

TfN proposes to commission professional services for a rail freight modelling and analysis study on Northern Powerhouse Railway (NPR).

This contract will require expertise in developing a rail freight model to conduct forecasting rail freight impact analysis, allowing for the testing of various rail freight policy and strategy measures.

The project will also include qualitative and quantitative assessments of the impact of NPR and Network North interventions on rail freight within the NPR geography and feeder corridors.

It will identify network constraints and necessary infrastructure investments.

The findings will provide recommendations on how a package of interventions can support the Government's rail freight growth target and increase rail modal share.

More information can be found in the ITT documents which have been published on Delta E Sourcing.
