Description
The Commission is seeking suppliers to support it's "Legacy of Liberation" Campaign which seeks to encourage new visitors to engage with our sites. The campaign can be broken into two strands.
Strand 1: Voices of Liberation: Sound Archive
In March 2019 CWGC will be launching its Crowdsourcing Project, called "Voices of Liberation". We plan to gather recordings, which explore and capture visitors and veteran's connection to CWGC sites, to create the Commission's first Online Sound Archive.
The archive will explore visitor's connections to CWGC cemeteries connected to the historical anniversaries and the importance of visiting the graves and memorials of those who lost their lives during the Second World War, during the period of Liberation. We will also be collecting audio from Veterans who fought in this period and explore their connections to CWGC sites. Each historical anniversary will encourage the public to interact and contribute to the archive.
Strand 2 - Voices of Liberation Sound Installation- Visit CWGC sites
We want to encourage new visitors to engage with our sites. We will be using the sound archive collection to create visitor experiences at a collection of our Normandy sites, through a sound installation.
Using the voice recordings, visitors will be able to experience our sites in new ways, touching on stories and experiences of others who are connected to the sites and exploring the D-Day Landings and Normandy campaign in a new way.

This tender will be conducted using the CWGC e-Procurement portal - https://in-tendhost.co.uk/cwgc/aspx/Home.
If you wish to participate in this tender, or any future tenders issued by the CWGC, you must first register with the portal. When registering, please complete as much of the information as possible.
Please note: When entering a contact email address for both the Primary and Additional Users, you are advised to add a generic address which can be readily accessed by more than one person i.e. "tenders@xyz.com", rather than a personal address such as "RKipling@xyz.com". This way you will still be able to access any communications sent by us via the portal if an individual in unavailable through leave or sickness, for example. Also, when registering, you can include as many "Business Classifications" as you think are appropriate (the wild card for searching is "_") but, as a minimum, can you please include "7450 - Comms - Audio Visuals & Photographic" - which is the closest match for this particular project.
To ensure transparency, the portal will also be used for all correspondence relating to the tender.
