Description

Worthing Borough Council are looking to expand the facilities at Worthing Crematorium by providing an additional Memorial Garden, complementing the history of the site, the Muntham Estate and the environs of the local area.

The Crematorium is situated 9 miles from the centre of Worthing on a secluded country estate of 42 acres within the South Downs National Park The site contains a number of tributes to the fallen Muntham Estate.
The area is approx. 30m x 50m in size and is within the current crematorium grounds

The Council are looking for consultants to provide a concept design with estimated costs. Once funding has been secured the consultant will then be required to produce a full design and specification to a recognised standard form of NEC contract.

The first phase will cover the scoping and the development of outline proposals to concept and the second phase will be subject to securing funding and will cover the preparation and delivery of a preferred option to a Design and Specification stage for contract documentation and construction.

The tendering opportunity for this project and other schemes will be published and managed on the Council's e-procurement system In-Tend and the interested parties are invited to register on there by visiting https://in-tendhost.co.uk/adur-worthing
