Description

This building will form part of the development of the new research zone at Cockle Park. It is the intention that all new facilities that form part of the research zone will comply fully with Home Office codes of practice for the housing of livestock. It will be sited in close proximity to the C-Dial development and porcine Research Unit. This development will ensure that our research can continue to be conducted in an efficient way.
General Description
A modular facility consisting of:-
• A wet laboratory
• A post mortem room
• An animal surgery
• Animal holding and recovery

This tender is for the appointment of a main contractor for this scheme.
A design team of internal Improvements staff are already in place comprising of a Building Surveyor, Mechanical Services Engineer and Electrical Services Engineer.
The agreement will be in the form of Newcastle University Terms and Conditions for Services 2018 (with Minor Works).
