Description

Maintenance, Installation and upgrading of Highway Electrical Assets in the City of Bristol.
The Council owns & manages some 34,000 street lights (over 20,000 having been replaced in recent years) & 15,000 other traffic equipment (e.g. illuminated signs, bollards and pedestrian crossings), using a reactive maintenance policy. The Council also installs, maintains and upgrades electrical infrastructure associated with Electrical Vehicle charging equipment, pumping stations, bus stop, information signs and on street cameras. Pre-planned programmed works are also used on an individual scheme basis. Emergency cover is required both in normal working hours and outside normal working hours.
This contract will ensure all electrical assets are monitored, maintained and compliant in accordance with the following legislation and guidance documents:
