Description
Bristol City Council requires the tenderer to design and construct a new first class rugby and Sport Pavilion sports centre facility with associated services installations at the existing Bristol Rugby Combination (BRC) suite off Bonnington Walk, Lockleaze in Bristol.
The Employer requires the Contractor to design and construct all works required in order to provide a new building to a layout as shown on the project drawings and ready for immediate use as a rugby and sports centre facility providing "state of the art" changing facilities, kitchen facilities and bar/function rooms ("the works") to be multi-occupied by members of the Bristol Rugby Combination clubs (BRC), their guests, other clubs and members of the public. It should be noted that this will also need to include the design and construction of associated items such as removal of all materials on site requiring removal (and associated cut/fill and new imported material, new entrance/exit routes to join the Estate Road, bin stores/cycle store, signage and all mechanical and electrical works and supplies. In addition, Power supplies serving the 3G rugby and football pitches and MUGA are to be terminated and controlled within the building. "The works" are to be undertaken strictly in accordance with all current recommendations, codes of practice and regulations for such works. Furthermore, the design and construction of the works shall be to a high and robust standard and in full accordance with good building practice.
