Description
Number of shop parade enhancement works at 4 locations in Barrow-in-Furness Cumbria.
Brief summaries of the work to be undertaken at each shop parade location are as
follows:
D Nos. 108 - 120A Mill Lane, Walney, Barrow-in-Furness LA14 3NT
- Removal of metal security barriers and gates to front entrances
- Reglazing of windows adjacent flat entrance doors and redecoration of recess
walls, windows and doors
- Canopy upgrading works comprising renewal of waterproof covering, fitting of
new fascia and soffits, new electric lighting
- Over-cladding of existing roof fascia and soffit boards with new upvc fascia and
soffit boards to front and both gable elevations
- Renewal of existing upvc rainwater gutters and down pipes (existing cast iron
rainwater pipes are to be retained)
- Renewal of flat roof coverings to the single-storey fish and chip shop and adjacent
link building, including new fascias
- Roughcast rendering of existing facing brickwork to the single-storey fish and chip
shop and adjacent link building

ground floor entrance areas and subsequent masonry paint decoration
- Redecoration of existing roof eaves fascia/soffit boards, rainwater gutters and
down pipes to front elevation
- Replacement of existing flag paving to pavement with new tarmac surfacing
