Description

Specification for Energy Services
South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) is seeking a supplier to offer and deliver Energy support services and installed products Free of Charge to the fuel poor and Vulnerable household within the South Cambridgeshire.
The recipients of services offered will be located within the boundaries of South Cambridgeshire District Council aimed at tenants and private sector homeowners deemed to be fuel poor and vulnerable in accordance with qualifying criteria to be agreed as part of this Tender process.
The Services to be offered and delivered by the successful bidder will comprise of the following Core elements for a home visit/energy survey and small-scale energy improvements.
1)Supplier to assist in the generation and publication of marketing material to target the fuel poor.
2) Accept, manage and arrange free home energy survey and advice visits from the Council and/or other local agency referrals such as Citizens advice service, Age UK and similar organisations.
3) Home energy visits should include the following elements
• Check if the tenant/Homeowner is on the best energy tariffs in comparison with current suppliers and offers by using an agreed comparison site or dedicated energy switching service.
• At time of survey visit provide energy advice based on heating and hot water apparatus installed within the property.
•Supply and fit free simple energy saving measures for example LED light bulbs, radiator convector panels...
•Identify and report fire and any other hazards
• Arrange a free money advice consultation or direct to an agreed agency for financial support.
• Raise awareness to the Council of any potential energy funding opportunities or services that could be implemented to assist the fuel poor within the Councils District for further energy-saving measures.
