Description

The requirement is for high density probes, permitting electrophysiological recording from the brain and spinal cord. The probes should contain active electronics, permitting data from around 1000 recording contacts to be transmitted out of the probe along a much reduced number of wires. The probes need to be mounted in two ways, to be suitable for penetration into superficial and deep structures. Finally, suitable hardware is required to interface to the probes, and allow data to be captured to a personal computer for offline analysis.
