Description

Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) are considering their options for their Access Control provision, in light of their forthcoming relocation of the HQ Building from Shire Hall to Alconbury.

CCC are currently contracted to G4S Technology for their Symmetry system, and may look to extend this provision, certainly whilst the relocation takes place and the estate is accordingly reviewed and reduced.

We welcome thoughts from providers in this market as to the most sensible way of contracting for this requirement, particularly in view of the potential costs of replacing a closed protocol system with that of open protocol.

Please respond to this message via email to jon.collyns@cambridgeshire.gov.uk. Interested parties should note that this is not a formal tender process, and sales literature and expressions of interest are not requested. We would however be interested in comments around changing from closed to open protocol and the associated benefits and challenges.
