Under the programme, newly qualified paramedics (NQPs) from the point of registration will undertake a four-year, distance learning, part-time Masters programme, supported by high quality practice-based learning opportunities with placements in urgent and primary care.

It is the intention of the Authority that the contract period will be four years and the maximum value will be £139,800 inclusive of VAT:

Value for 4-year programme by year (based on an intake of 20 students)

Year 1 = £46,200
Year 2 = £46,200
Year 3 = £0.00 (Gap Year)
Year 4 = £47,400

The Authority retains the option to extend the contract by a further 3 year period. With the maximum value of a seven year contract being £232,200 inclusive of VAT.
