Description

Details of Requirement

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) requires a suitably experienced, qualified and accredited Contractor to design and build the OESS building.
The Contractor shall liaise with the Client throughout the design process and confirm the requirements and level of provision of services to be provided prior to completion of design and commencement of construction works. All building services shall be designed and installed to all applicable standards, regulations and client requirements.
The OESS building shall be provided with lighting, power, fire detection and alarm, ventilation and cooling as required by the client and building operators.
The new Onboard Energy Storage System (OESS) building will be located within the Wednesbury Depot site. It is to be designed for the storage and charging of batteries for the existing fleet of 2nd generation trams and the new fleet of 3rd generation trams.

The proposed works comprise of a single storey building.
