Description

Public Health England (PHE) requires the provision of image acquisition software for use with microscopes located in its Centre for Radiation Chemical & Environmental Hazards (CRCE) radiation biology research laboratories. Due to the nature of the work, the software must be able to fulfil the following requirements:

- Installed as a stand-alone system
- Options for colour karyotyping, multicolour FISH (mFISH) and comparative genomic hybridization (CGH)
- Acquire fluorescence images with up to 12 colour channels
- Automatic exposure time adjustment
- Automatic image enhancement tools
- Image processing function - able to enhance, edit, annotate, measure, print and archive images
- Integrated focus stack function to analyse 3D objects
- Ability to remove unspecific background
- Multiple customizable colour display modes (RGB, individual colours, modified colours, merged colours, grey scale, inverted grey scale, combinatorial false colours)
