Description

This service is necessary to ensure the performance of our instruments used to measure the amount of water flowing in rivers throughout the United Kingdom. The data underpins the work of Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM), Water Resources, and increasingly others such as Fisheries and Ecology.
There is a specific requirement for the calibration of Rotating Element current meters (RE), Electromagnetic current meters (EM) and Acoustic Doppler current meters (AD). The calibration and performance checking of current meters within this contract will conform to BS ISO 3455:2007 Hydrometry - Calibration of current meters in straight open tanks.
