Description

In accordance with the Standing Orders for Private Business in the House of Commons (SO224A) and the House of Lords (SO83A), the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills of the House of Commons and the House of Lords ("the Examiners") wish to appoint a contractor ("the Contractor") with whom the Corporate Officers of both Houses ("the Authority") would enter into a contract for the Contractor to act as an Independent Assessor.

The Government will reimburse the Authority for costs incurred and charged by the Independent Assessor for goods and services provided under the Contract.

The principal task of the Independent Assessor will be to summarise the issues raised in responses to a public consultation undertaken by the Government on the Environmental Statement on the proposed new high speed rail link between the West Midlands and Crewe ("HS2 Phase 2a") and on information deposited as supplementary environmental information (for up to 4 years after award of the Contract).

Suppliers are required to download the Non-Disclosure Deed (NDD) from the portal before accessing the tender documents. The NDD must be submitted as a correspondence and a declaration must also be submitted, stating that the NDD has not been modified. Access to the tender documents will not be granted until the signed NDD has been received.
