Description

The Council's vision is to create a modern and innovative Leisure and Health Hub for Boston that provides a swimming, physical activity, and health offer to inspire people of Boston and the surrounding area to be active.

Having assembled a significant package of capital finance, including Boston Town Deal and its own funding, the Council is embarking on a circa £9M investment and redevelopment project. Which will include the shared Plaza element, which will be jointly funded by BBC and Boston College.

The project includes the extension and redevelopment of the current Geoff Moulder Leisure Centre to reinvent the existing complex for the 21st Century providing a contemporary Boston Leisure & Health Hub for the town. The development project is expected to commence at the start of January 2024 and be completed by March 2025.

The investment is linked with the neighbouring Boston College Mayflower project to create community pride in real place change with a new community plaza transforming the outside areas between the two developments.
