Description
The former "Avenue Coking Works" site is located approximately 3km south of Chesterfield in the village of Wingerworth, Derbyshire. The Fluvial Flow Drainage Works required are in relation to the development platform. The current 28Ha development platform has no engineered surface water management system. The surface is either undisturbed weathered coal measures mudstones, or where filled, capped with clay. The surface drains as a fluvial flow to the east into the public open space. The works are for provision of a temporary surface water drainage system using agreed routes, with all due regard to controlled waters to manage run-off and prevent damage to the public open space (POS) landscaped areas and pollution of the SuDS (deemed controlled waters) within the POS.
