Description
The National Retraining Scheme is the government's new programme to help adults retrain into better jobs and be ready for future changes to the economy, including those brought about by automation. The digital delivery partners will have the capability to research, test, design, build, release, iterate, support or retire a digital service. Digital delivery partners must meet the following outline criteria (further details and specific criteria will be defined later):
- comply with the technology code of practice (https://www.gov.uk/service-manual/technology/code-of-practice.html),
- work according to the government service design manual (https://www.gov.uk/service-manual),
- have the experience and capability to work on all or a number of discovery, alpha, beta, live or retirement phases outlined in the government service design manual (https://www.gov.uk/service-manual),
- capability and experience of digital assessments across all or a number of phases of discovery, alpha, beta and live,
- the ability to work at either of DfE's London or Manchester offices. Other DfE offices may be used if required at the time of bringing products on stream.
The indicative estimated value of the NRS product pipeline including discovery, alpha, beta and live phases is estimated to be up to 21 000 000 GBP throughout the duration of the contract.
The purpose of the market engagement event is to engage with suppliers that are interested in and consider themselves as capable of delivering the services and to provide information about the expected procurement process and the high-level commercial and financial principles applicable to the services.

(a) name of your organisation;
(b) name of attendees (maximum 2)/or indicate you could not attend but would like to receive the market event materials;
(c) contact details;
(d) confirmation that your organisation meets the qualifying criteria; and
(e) confirmation of your interest in a 10-15 minutes one to one session during the event.
The morning session will be a session at which representatives from DfE will provide information about the scope of the services and how they will be commissioned and information about the procurement process envisaged. The afternoon session will comprise one-to-one sessions with individual suppliers. A limited number of slots are available therefore allocation will be on a first come first served basis and will be limited to 1 slot per supplier. Interested parties are therefore encouraged to register for the event at the earliest opportunity. All information used on the day will be made available to all those unable to attend.
