Description
This notice is to inform the market of the intention to directly award a 1 year contract (with an option to extend by 12 months) to Amaze for Family Training and Navigation service for NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB). The service will be geographically based in Brighton and Hove and East Sussex. Contract value will be £250,000 per annum. Maximum contract value of £500,000 (1 year + 1 option year).
The Service is for delivery of a training and navigation and peer support service for families and carers with children and/or young people who have a neurodevelopmental (ND) condition. In this service, ND refers to; Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Tics and Tourette's conditions and other associated co-morbidities.
The service will support families by; (i) helping to navigate the health and social care systems of - assessment, diagnosis, and treatment and (ii) providing access to and delivering specific training, workshops and information relating to the conditions described above. The delivery will be a blend of; face to face for individuals and groups online and telephone consultation and support delivered from local venues.
This is a highly specialist area of delivery requiring a contractor to demonstrate:
• Organisation leadership from people with specific lived experience
• Delivery by experts by experience
• Strong and embedded local connections with parents and carers
• Demonstrable successful delivery in the local area supported by evidenced outcomes.
The contractor identified has an established delivery relationship with both NHS Sussex and with Brighton & Hove City Council (BHCC) and East Sussex County Council (ESCC). The contractor has delivered a range of consultation and engagement work and currently delivers a range of similar services that can enhance the success of this service.
The direct award will ensure that this vulnerable patient group, their families, carers and friends can continue to access support, advise, navigation informed by knowledge about the lived experience of Neurodiversity which can be quickly mobilised using existing networks.
If no expressions of interest are received, the commissioner intends to enter a contract with Amaze.
